Regarding your PM, this song was composed for FF6 by metroidquest for his hack FF6: The Eternal Crystals. I obtained his permission to extract this song and upload an IPS patch for the game.

There are other custom composed songs created by MQ that have been uploaded to the site, check the IPS patches section.
