Cool thanks man!
Part 2 is the only pain in the butt - that was before I made a time limit and compressed em on Youtube.
However, as fate would have it, Part 2 is kinda the most important for getting a good foundation in event editing and action queues...
But thanks for looking into it, this game will turn out great!
And ask me or anyone anything if you aren't certain about something, don't risk breaking your game XD!

How do you import sprites? Can you download them or do you have to hand draw them? And how do you make a portrait to 16 colors. Thats what my SE program keeps telling me. It won't import it because it has more than 16 colors.

Ah don't worry man I was in the same boat you were in not too long ago. Which if I had a choice with my boat, I'd have gone kayak. OK! Enough dumb stuff lolz
But I'll cover your first two questions!
There's currently two programs to make sprites for FFVI. The first one is called FF3SE, which you've already heard about. And the second one is the Relm Sprite Editor, but you don't edit Relm, of course lol.
Here's the linkie for the Relm One:
http://www.angelfire.com/pq/jumparound/d...teEd11.zip
Based on most personal preference, the Relm Sprite Editor is the way to go. But before I answer your importing question, just be aware that these two programs do importing different ways.
SE relies on PNG picture format that isn't over 16 colors and the sprites must be laid out in a neat "Sprite Sheet" pattern to be imported perfectly.
The Relm Editor relies on Binary and Palette files for its importing.
While still not the mainstream method, the BIN and PAL method is my personal favorite. Once someone or you gets done making a sprite (something I've never experienced XD) you can go to the top and click Export Bin and Export Pal to distribute around the world. So say you've downloaded a sprite thats in BIN form, to import it is simple, just use the Relm Editor and click Import Bin. Same goes for Pal.
Now concerning the 16 colors thing. There's many methods to do this but this one's my favorite
Download a program called IrfanView. Here's a linkie:
http://www.irfanview.com/
Once downloaded it's wise to set it as your default programs for picture files. But anyways open up a portrait image and click at the top - Image --> Decrease Color Depth. Then a new window opens. Click the little radio button saying '16 Colors' and press OK. The image will be constrained to only 16 colors and it'll be perfect for importing.
Unless the size isn't 40x40 that is.
To resize an image is just as easy. Click Image --> Resize/Resample and type 40x40 in the little box. Click OK and then save your changes!
Hope I've helped man!
EDIT:
You can find MANY sprites in the sprites section of this site. Here's a link
