Yeah, but it need to have 16 colors, and no more, which was the problem of finding a compatible sprite for my hack, as the program I use crashes if the sprite has more than 16 colors...

Reducing colors is actually very easy with The Gimp.

Image -> Mode -> Indexed Colors -> 15 maximum colors -> Convert -> Voilà!

As Veridis was saying, you want 15 colors because your 16th color is transparent.
