Changing names-weak question

I'm a newbie to the editing. I'm using FF3uS ME to edit the game right now and while I can switch out characters and change their names, I can't figure out how to change their last names. Example, if I rename Edgar to Clive it still calls him Clive Figaro.

You mean the ending credit character names where they show the last names? Nobody except a very select few know where that is located and/or how to edit that, and unfortunately for all the rest of us they are not willing to share that info yet. It would be done with a hex editor though, not FF3usME.

I thought the full names in the credits were compressed graphics?
