Opera House Adding Events

First and foremost question on the list: Where the frick is the stage?

With that out of the way, I should clarify I'm not butchering the main Opera house show that everybody seems so fond of. I'm looking at the dirt dragon in the WoR.

Something that's gonna bite me here (I'm sure) is that the WoR Opera house doesn't really have any direction from what I've seen so far. Your free to walk in, dump yourself on stage, kill dragon, and leave without ever asking "Hey, whats up doc?"

That issue might be a pain but shouldn't be impossible. The real problem is adding things to the stage. Well, finding it would be a good start. I do have a plan B that would be a whole lot easier, but I'd like to try this first.

On another note, why is it (when the dirt dragon is sitting center stage) you can't just push that 4ton weight off the ceiling onto his head? I mean its lined up and everything! Perfect KO!

I'm sure somebody around here has cussed the Opera house by now...

Thats right, you did mention that, this was just the first time I ever stood at the weight and looked down while the dragon was still alive. You were right though, it would have been a perfect drop.

After some digging around (and still not finding the stage) I noticed just how nothing in the building realy adds up post dragon. (You talk to the guy and you see the message "time to save the day again". Um, save it from what? Anyway,

I had planned on this whole bit about letting Setzer swing in to save the day, then letting the dragon chew on him. THEN, while he's crying in pain let Maria jump up and fight in his place for the dragon. Letting him get a pity date after the fact. Would have been fun but eh plan B.

Since post dragon Opera house already needs work, and its easier to find, that's where I'm starting. It should still turn out good, and I'm sure I'll find a way to beat Setzer up somewhere else.

Still want to know where that stage is though.

The stage for the Opera House is drawn via event. Look at the entrance event for the rafters, and you'll see a call to subroutine CA/D2EC. This is how the smaller stage appears later (when Setzer picks up "Maria" in the WoB) as well. I suspect that you'll be able to put the rest of the pieces together from there.

So it's possible to change map tiles in any point of the game just by event?

They need to be loaded up every time the room is entered (via an event bit of some kind), but it is possible to get them to stick. I've been guessing for a while that this could get some extra maps into the game to bypass the limitations in that regard, but it would certainly be tedious as all get out to hack the maps that way.
