If you have the time to make a dream version of FF6 you have time to learn hex editing, the most basic thing outside using an editor. Such a statement is a mark of laziness or motivation lacking.
I work a full-time job and go to school full-time. If I can find the time to learn how to hack this game (with help from folks here, from reading, and with a little common sense), then so can you.
FYI, FF3usME is a great program for the newbie hacker; it's almost idiot-proof. (Trust me on that.)
