I did try reimporting the sprite, but it still shows up like the picture. I did go over the limit but I also freed up space by deleting some monster sprites. I'm thinking it has something to do with me deleting and changing monster palettes too, because I did a lot of editing there.

I've tried to hex edit several times, but it's just something that's beyond me. If you could look at the ROM, I'd really appreciate it. How can I send it to you?

Can send it to my email mikeferrell@live.com or host it on mediafire, whichever's easiest.
And no problem I'd be happy to take a look and see what I can see. I don't think monster palettes should affect character palettes, but it does sound like something happened during that process to affect the character palette data or sprite data, hopefully will be able to come up with an answer and/or fix.

Okay the problem is that in the sprite editor in FF3usME you changed the battle palettes of the male NPC # 24 and the dog NPC #25, they must be kept to palette 0. Terra's battle palette is connected to them someway or another, her sprite graphics tied with the dog and her palette the man. Changing them back to normal (palette 0) will fix you up.

The only one of those NPC's battle palettes you might ever need to change would be the old man NPC #23, which is reserved for the battle palette of Locke when he changes into the soldier outfit during that battle event.

No problem man, hope it's relatively smooth sailing from here on, but if not we're all here to help out if need be. Smile Just remember to make backups of your work after any important change.
