Looks really good! NJ. Only thing I would say is to make the outline black, instead of orange... in SMB2 it has a black outline and it looks better. Also that way your green 1-up one should have a black outline as well. And the orange color for the light pixel in the middle of the cherry. Unless for some reason it's not an option.

So your repro guy, his name doesn't happen to be Eric Bishop by some rare chance?

I cannot do that, SMB shares palettes between objects. I'm not familiar with NES to know how to separate those palettes.

I don't mind the previous outline, but if you really want that, then there's the chance that you can do it changing outline's color using something like paint, then you put the graphic in the game, trying to match the color with the one who appears black in the game, like the one used for cloud's outline.

With only 4 colors to choose from (1 for transparency) I think I'm limited especially I ally since other objects share the palette and I don't want to change much of the game beyond Mario/Luigi and the mushroom. Plus I don't think my wife will care much if it isn't perfect like we rom hackers strive for. For a casual gamer this should suffice. Smile

But if someone was able to split up the palettes for these is be open to having them recolored.

I can imagine your wife react bad to the outline color and scold you for that! Laugh

She loved it and even started to shed some tears. Smile She said it was very thoughtful and liked the effort of creating something different.

My forum has a post with how the repros came out. Laugh You'll need to register if you aren't a member yet to view the attachments though I am going to change that here soon.
