Based off Krinkles' Madness series style, I attempted the same thing using FF6 sprites. I ended up making three of them in .gif's (because it was all I had available to me at the time). The fourth and fifth ones I made in Flash but renamed them to Massacre Project and Massacre Project 2 for Newgrounds so people wouldn't ask where 1~3 were.

I decided to up the ante with the graphics and created 200% more new sprites to fit between the existing sprites to make a more fluid motion and punching and blocking animations.

[STORY AND WORDS]
The story line within the series follows (loosely) characters from the website Newage3 in which the Admins fight off evil forces.
In turn, this was based off a comic I was making for the site and attempted to add humor with the unusual occurrences (typically bugs).
The owner used Gestahl's sprite to distinguish his posts from others and I needed more expressive sprites than what existed with Gestahl's NPC sprites which prompted me to create his sprite sheet.
Eventually I found some hacking tools and was able to add my Gestahl sprites to the game (As well as a few others I had made) but found that in-game, they needed more 'polish' to fit which wasn't noticeable otherwise.
I may have reworked all my sprite sheets a dozen times or more.

The Kung-Fu Gestahl was originally used in Massacre 3 and needed to kick a giant (Mega-man X) mech.
