It's kind of a shame, really. I don't think it even makes sense why Final Fantasy evolved the way it did. I know absolutely nothing about Type-0, but I do know that the series started taking a fall with MMO and more modern themes(technology-wise). At least, this is my speculation. One could theorize that Square didn't realize this, but after releasing Bravely Default, they should have picked up on how much better their classic ideas were. In regards to not releasing Type-0 here, at this age, I don't see why they did that either, given that Square realizes that the West is a large part of gaming, and I doubt they believe it's "too hard" for us anymore, after FFIV. Hopefully this issue can be resolved, and show Square that their consistency of the SNES and PS1 era, as well as releasing worldwide was what really made them as large a company(by consistency, I refer to quality, of course).
Granted, I'm still relatively uninformed. This is entirely just opinion, and I may be outright wrong on several facts.

The only thing harder than finding a needle in a haystack is finding a haystack in a needle.
Actually, after Bravely Default was released, they kinda did:

Not sure how much they'll follow through in the future though.

Huh. That's the first I've heard of this. Hopefully they run with this.
