There are a lot of SPC's out there, but how many of them have been converted into an ips for FFVI? It takes a lot of work to do this, so this is a thread for those who have a "wish list" for music they wish were in FFVI for their hack, or heard while playing someone elses.

I'll start it off with Maenad's theme from "Final Fantasy IV: The After Years" overwriting "Atma Weapon's Theme".

I think Gi Nattak is going to do these for me, but I'm trying to get;

Neo Arcadia over Kefka's Tower:

And Oppa Gangnam Style over Save Them:

Even though you can turn back the time,
you're always a moment too late!"

I can do my own patches whether it's by composition or MML but the next one I would do is probably this song from The Neverending Story. Quite an epic ending theme for a hack.

Edit: Zeemis, now as long as you have an midi it's relatively easy to transform it into binary data that you can insert in FF3us. Gi Nattak worked hard to find how, and I tried to help him a bit in understanding the MML files, but once you have the technique it's a lot easier and 10 times faster than actually composing the song like we use to do. I don't know what he is waiting for to make a tutorial but everyone could benefit from importing the song they want themselves, not just requesting it in a thread and telling making a patch is a "hard task", whether you're telling that honestly or not. I'm just stating the facts here.

Edit: Everyone can like the music they want and I respect everyone's choice but Oppa Gangnam Style is probably the worst think that happened to mankind since Milli Vanelli back in 1989. I would never put this song in a hack...

I basically already have my FFVI MML tutorial finished, I'm just waiting to release it after I release v1.0 of my hack, which is seriously almost there now. I'm hoping for a nice X-mas release, but if not very soon after that. It may come off selfish, but I'd at least like to get my hack out there first with all the MML songs I've done before I release the tutorial. But hey, at least I am doing a tutorial at all, right? Wink

Also, there are a couple commands that I would like to find out what they are in MML, like pitch change (E4 and E5) and vibrato (E6 and E7) (not reverb which affects the whole song), so I can add them to the tutorial. Maybe I can ask on the SMW hacking site but I'm not sure if its the same commands used as FFVI. I do know a way to find out what they are though, I've just been lazy in doing it - to look at an advanced Japanese RS3 MML composition that I hear uses the commands, and try and pick them out and look at the binary and see, which is basically how I found out some of the other commands I didn't recognize right away, like the jump command.

The whole process is still rather hard though, some songs much more than others, not hard like a custom composition like the other music hacking way, but in its own way - it's not as easy as it might come off sounding, but the tut will obviously help tons.

We are born, live, die and then do the same thing over again.

Requests? I guess it would be nice to at least hear what Battle 2 from Breath of Fire would sound in place of the FFVI battle theme Tongue

This isn't a request thread auraplatonic, it's simply a wish list of what you "wish" you could use in your hack, or see in someone elses.

Ask Nattak, I think he has composed some of the themes from BOF2.
