For people who lack imagination like me I found a interesting tool to create character name. It's a D&D character name generator. There are a few questions to answer each time but it does end up coming up with nice custom names. You can also just use the default random values and generate quickly names. One problem is that you might get names that are too long for the FFVI standard...

I also found this: FFXIV Character Name Generator (this one is less complex but I found that it comes up with inferior names in terms of originality)

Edit: Example with the D&D generator: "Frudak" was the name generated for a Elf-Bard with medium notority with my initials..

I was expecting something like "Spoony madsiur"...
