I think a CT / FF6 crossover using FF3us is possible without literally porting CT to FF6, which I don't think is the original intention anyway. Think of it as the CT crew taking a portal and falling in an alternate universe. From there everything is possible but it would still require a new story, new events, the CT sprites in FF6 style and some new maps maybe. I think this would be the base, it's already a lot but doable with the existing utilities. Anything after this can be added, whether is new music, battle engine modifications or other hacks.
