Do Schroedinger's Chests still occur in Brave New World?

Which chests are Schrodinger's? What's the trigger to cause their loot to change?

the place is the same, but the map is another one, most of the times the changes are due to changing from WoB into WoR. some exception are narshe and figaro caves, which also change their items when you choose among 3 scenarios,
One particural case is Doma castle, which "theorically" changes his chests 3 times:
in WoB, in WoR and during the Cyan's dream, but their contents are all the same, despite they are 3 different maps.
PS. i believe there was one of this items also in dragon's neck house(WoB) too.

So I have never played FF6. I'm happy to say that I haven't spoiled any of it for myself and I am looking forward to playing it this winter break.
Would anyone here recommend this to a first time player? I like the idea of class specialization and not feeling pressure to LL until espers. I'm not sure if this mod changes the story or has any other drastic changes that might make it better to play the original version first.
