That means that you patched an original cartridge using RetroN5 as a computer???
Sort of. RetroN5 is a console that is an emulation platform, that's the best way to describe it. Maybe someone else could articulate it better?

I can tell you that you should get one if your TV had an HDMI input. The RetroN5 had both us and euro power connectors and plays PAL and NTSC carts.
Definitively.

Is it already sold by retail, or what?

PS. does it have a function that records a video, while playing a game ?
You can buy a RetroN5 from various websites but Amazon is the best place to get one. I got mine for $133 + free shipping w/Amazon Prime.
Just saying... is it possible to have a different game cartridge, like Super Mario World and replace its content with another game, like FF6... using RetroN5?
For what I think you're asking no. It doesn't flash the carts or alter the physical cart hardware at all. It is all software based in the emulator using IPS patches.
Uhm... so, the emulated cartridge puts a temp. copy file of the rom and that copy is patched with the ips file, without touching the original cartridge?

Probably i'm missing something, but... in the case that's it, couldn't this copy hex to be replaced with the one of another game rom and so emulate something different?
Yes that's correct and that is what I did for the video link I posted above. Laugh
Ok... just for conclude the whole thing:
If you can do what i wrote above, that means that you can use a SMW cartridge, replace the temp. copy with FF6 rom file using an ips patch and so playing FF6, while the SMW cartridge stays untouched? Objection!
In a word, "yes". Smile
