By patching the vanilla ROM you will automatically expand it.
Works perfectly on Snes9x 1.53, forgot that the ROM needed to be headered, so I used NRST to add one, works perfectly

Well sort of, that's a RetroN5 and my Final Fantasy III cart.
Btw i always wondered what's the process to put in the vanilla cartridge an hack instead... what do you use? (both software and hardware devices)
For this I created an IPS patch that turns my Final Fantasy III cart in to the ROTDS hack on my RetroN5. Since the RetroN5 does IPS patches now it was pretty easy.
