FF3usme6.7 Summoning

Can anyone tell me how well and how exactly the Summoning command works when you give it to one of your Characters. I've not been able to test it yet as I haven't gotten a team that far with a test hack.
Does it just point you to a list of Espers and then you summon them from there as you would if you normally would use an esper in an unhacked version of ff6?
thanks in advance.

No It doesn't unless you use a patch.
What it actually does is use the current esper you have set for that character

which patch is that? does the patch then allow you to summon as in ff4?

The summon command lets a character summon his/her equipped esper an infinite number of times in battle. The command is hidden and glitched, unless you use the "Summon This" patch by Lenophis at

Lenophis' patch will then allow you to summon any esper that you have, all you want?

Yes, unless you're muted, imped, have no MP left or wounded. I think the summon command was removed in exchange for the ability for every party member to summon their esper once in battle.
