Hi guys, I'm working on a Mario map for my Level Design 2 class. It'll be made in UDK and I'm developing it with a Mario RPG and Mario 64 theme in mind. The playstyle will be similar to both games, such as NPC's you can talk to who give quests, and stars and red coins you collect. This map will be do in 7 weeks. I'm required to do all the 3d modeling, animating, model rigging, texturing and levle design myself.
What do you guys think so far?

kick ass man

"Sometimes ninjas do wrong to each other, and in dat way the force of tha earf' comes around da moon - and at that presence, da dirt, it overshadows the grass, so you're like, I can't cut dis grass, there's no sun comin' through. So in order to enable each other the two fruits have to look each other in da eye and understand we can only be right, as da ripe is wrong, you know what I mean?"

It looks awesome man, those tall 'shrooms bring back all kinds of memories of falling off them trying to get those damn red coins. The town is beautiful also, it does look like a town out of Mario RPG. I also love how the water flows from the top of the hill area, down to the pool and into the pipe that then releases water for the lake/waterfall, it looks really legit. Very nice with the trees and clouds also. It sure would be fun to throw King Bob-omb off that mountain XD Great job, it looks like a lively map with a lot of cool stuff going on. A+ so far.

Looks great, you can really see the influences from SMRPG and Mario 64. Great work.
