New, with questions

Hey, I'm new here. Some of you may know me as "valientlink" on YouTube, and most of you may not, haha.

Anyway, when it comes to hacking FF6, I'm kind of an illiterate. I know how to edit monster scripts, change dialogue, text, sprites, item/spell names, how spells act, etc... but I don't know how to change battle text, or really go more specific on how spells work. It's not like I can make ice 2 black, or make fire 2 look like ultima, I'm not like that. Any tips?

well with battle text editing you have to edit the hex codes, as for the way spells look

get the program FF6MDE and use cless' guide as a reference to make certain spells look like other things

as for the palettes (colors) that u r going to have to experiment with that yourself
