with the custom poses i usually completley erase the sprite nd start by putting in the head in whatever position you decide you want th custom pose then hands, arms legs body, also find it very helpful to have a reference for whatever kind of pose you are trying to achieve, for mk ones for example i worked from the old mk 1and 2 sprites to give me an idea on where to start. artist mannequins are also worth a look to help you with anatomy and stances


The only limit is imagination. And 16 colors.. I guess

not sure if this helps but i found a sprite of a gunner laying around.. I didn't draw this so I'm not sure how many pixels are there to be honest ... maybe it might bring up some ideas though of a custom pose Laugh

That gunner would not be a bad custom pose for the FFVI soldier as well which is my favorite sprite of the whole game, next to Celes and Shadow's.
