KAPPA THE IMP
(note: This is one I may actually try to implement)

The old Man aboard the Falcon is replaced by Kappa the Imp. When you have collected all 4 pieces of the Imp armor, it triggers a scene where he reveals that the only reason he stuck around was in hopes of finding his legendary armor. He has Imp status by default (maybe through a relic?), and comes equipped with the Offering relic. If you cast "Imp" on him, it will turn him human (maybe using Biggs/Wedge's sprite?), and he will be weak.

IAIDO
(note: definitely NOT doing this one)

This would give a character the Iaido (Draw Out) command from the Samurai class in Final Fantasy tactics. The command would check for the equipped weapon. If it was SwdTech enabled, it would check it against an index of spells and cast the spell associated with the weapon. For example, the Kazekiri/Tempest would cast Wind Slash, whereas the Mutsunomaki/Sky Render would cast Flare Star.
