FF6 T-Edition now has a MSU-1 mod, working with both the original hack and the English translation. It was made to fix songs that were playing alright on the emulator tsushiy tested the hack on but didn't play well on snes9x or bsnes. There's an installer for the mod: https://bk0.ovh/msu/FF6_T-Edition_msu_installer.zip

If you're on Windows you'll need Microsoft C++ 2015 Redistributable to run the installer:
