Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer)

So, I've been watching Deranged Squirrel Fighter play Ancient Cave.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who gets trolled by R-Esper.
"Here, have Crusader!"

So, apparently, Lv-1 reduces your main stats occasionally.
That's a nice counter balance.
Does anyone know the actual way it does it?
Because I've used it a bit before, and I've never noticed any stat decay.

Ok, also, Stamina is important to an extent.
It gives you a resistance to instant death/Petrification/etc.
Not that it does that much at like 20.

You'd need it at like 99 to have an effect.
