Strange shading on lower half of screen....

I'm playing on iPod which is the problem since on PSP and PC it works no problem...I just want to be able to play on something that is quick and easy. Anybody know how I would fix this?

PS: This shading effect only happens in FFVI.

Since it works well on PC and and PSP, I doubt there is a problem with the patch or the game. There might be a conflict between the emulator you use on your ipod and your ipod or the game, not that something is broken, but I am no ipod specialist. There was a patch for the european version only of FFVI that was released in 2009 but Novalia Spirit's patch is good for all three versions (JUE) and is the one that is available to download almost everywhere. Maybe you would have a better answer on a GBA emulation site...
