It's most likely a problem with the changes you've made and not the editor, which works fine. Maybe you tried to save without changing anything which can have weird results on the ROM. You can expand your ROM whenever you want, it just add a bunch of FF at the end of the ROM. Have you applied any patch or do event editing?
