There's a comprehensive guide on the web, I believe it's by MasterZed. The gist of it is that on any particular turn when Slot comes up, certain flags will be set. Tenkarider, I feel as if your brother savestated on a turn when no flags were set, so all combinations were possible. I believe certain actions move a queue forward, and wherever it stops, it will decide which combinations are possible, and which are not. Chocobop, 7-Flush, and Lagomorph are always possible. Here's the aforementioned relevant guide:

https://www.gamefaqs.com/iphone/734974-f...faqs/48009

If one of the 3 guaranteed possible combinations is good, then once you get the timing down(it's actually quite consistent, and the game will help you get possible combinations), Slot is quite useful.

Generally, the problem I have with Slot isn't the difficulty of inputting the good combinations, but rather the fact that Slot is rather underpowered. I'd prefer 7-Flush to just about everything I've seen on Slot over the past 25 seeds. Level-X spell is too common, and generally sucks, and so do the Esper castings, which take up almost all of the other slot inputs.

On another note, Magitek Facility defense is rather easy to get around. Surely you should essentially never have a party that relies on physical attacks for the Opera House segment anyways, considering the party that goes to the opera house is the same one that goes to the facility itself anyways, and you have two non-fixed party members to use. The only attacks you could have that rely on physical defense are Fight, AutoCrossbow, Rage, and Quadra Slam, as far as I can remember.

As for the Opera house, apparently you're playing Super hard difficult seed mode of this game. Tongue
Because this was the first time had that issue EVER.

Regardless, the Magiteck Facility is always easy for me, since I end up with builds that don't have Physical only. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Smile

Thanks for the information about Slot though.

Pummel and Suplex, and Throw, and my one character having stupid high attack power helps. Smile

i usually decide whether slot is good or not in a certain seed according to which spell replaces Lagomorph, one of the worst is Pep up, one of the best is Metamorph

Currently, my seed gives me Carbunkle as an effect for Lagomorph. Chochobop is replaced by Sunbath, so that's nice. Smile
All things considered, this seed isn't bad, but I don't think it's a keeper. Tongue

Also, Sand Storm is magically not effected by Mute. Scar Beam is.

Sand Storm is a dance skill. Scar Beam is just an enemy skill.

Well, that would explain why that enemy decided he didn't care about my mute. Smile
Good to know.

So, I started a new seed, and the enemies that replace the boars in the area where you control Locke against the General leader guy, cast confuser, freaking CONFUSER every freaking time at the start.
Well, the good news, the seed is still fun.

The shop in Figaro castle sells X-Potions for 21000 right off the bat.
Although, it's not likely you can get 21000 that early. Tongue

Still, nice to see.

Started tooling around with this yesterday, but I'm having a bit of trouble in the beginning. Not being able to heal AT ALL in the starting scenario can get a bit tedious. Anyone have recommendations for what flags make for the best playthrough? Thanks!

I generally set all of the flags except for randomized blitz inputs. From there, I generally alternate between ancient cave and standard mode, whichever I feel like doing. Standard mode is generally more balanced, with esper bonuses being somewhat useful, and getting an even spread of all the items. Ancient cave can get a little more wacky, because new party members can sometimes boost Magic Power+2 from level 1. Also, it's reasonable to be able to farm a lot of crazy stuff like Paladin Shields or Snow Mufflers. However, sometimes you can get screwed out of some necessary things, because there aren't enough shops in the game.

I'll also mention that BC is virtually always doable no matter what it generated.
