I think the thunder one is her phantasm ability.

I literally meant the special attack animation with a vertical lightning(i believe the color is white)

FF3USME says her special is "Hit" at attack level 1. That's basically the dummy special if they don't use it.

Also, Goddess doesn't use Phantasm, I believe only Chadarnook does.

I've been playing through on this mod on Twitch, it's been a blast! For someone who knows the game inside and out (at least, used to) it's a nice challenge.   Plus, 3xdeath is the most fun ability (and I'm lame and savestate before using). I haven't read my "guide" so I've just been learning as I go. The random new abilities are the best part, things like 3xDeath, R-Fire, and MagiTek can be a bit broken at times, but its balanced out by the times I've had a forced party and no one had item or no one had magic. 

Random dumb questions: I've just been playing through the normal game (but with all the flags). Is this what most people do these days? Or is it more common to be doing ancientcave or speedcave?

I suggest to start with a randomized normal game(all flags), then with all the 3 caves in any order you want and then whatever you want(maybe trying different combinations of flags and/or adding secret codes)

I'd love to race as well. With three of us, that might be a start to something. As for what I play, I generally just switch between regular and ancient cave with all flags set(except Blitz randomization). When I get bored of one, I switch to the other.

I don't want to impose my restrictions but FYI I'd be interest in a 90 or 120 minutes race, regarless of which mode it is. I'll be the best troll possible without hoping of not dying too often!

Shall we aim for a date then? I'd like to push this while we've got some interest, so that it doesn't just fade away, but I also don't know everybody's schedules at this point in time.

If you're doing the organizing, I'll participate, I just don't have a lot of time to do the organizing.
