Patch: Cancel Button Dash - SilentEnigma - 12-28-2020 author: SilentEnigma Download This is intended as a one-stop shop for a balanced cancel button dash feature, based on MasterZED's FF3 Dash button hack. It uses FF3DashB + Sliding Dash as a base, and adds two new modifications:
For timed challenges, the timer will run down at twice the normal rate while the player is dashing:
RE: Patch: Cancel Button Dash - SilentEnigma - 04-25-2021 The patch has been updated to v1.1. This version fixes an oversight that allowed Shadow's entrance queue at the end of the Floating Continent sequence to fall out of step with the escape timer. In v1.0, if the player speeds up the escape timer for 10 game seconds or longer, Shadow will not appear at all. The new version resolves this by applying any timer penalty uniformly to all running timers. Version 1.1 can be applied directly on top of version 1.0. RE: Patch: Cancel Button Dash - SilentEnigma - 09-14-2021 the patch has been updated to v1.2. The new version adds support for Sprint Shoes + Dashing during timed challenges. (Previous versions disabled dashing during these sequences if Sprint Shoes were equipped.) The timer penalty has been corrected over v1.1 as well. RE: Patch: Cancel Button Dash - ChickenKnife - 10-25-2024 Hi there. I've been trying to apply the NH Antipatch for B Button Dash 1.2 patch to the ROSE 2.01 patched ROM, and for some reason it produces a bug when you get a total party death. You can't get the "restart" prompt to appear after the MC crouches, so the game just hangs there. I was under the impression that ROSE would have the B Button Dash patch applied to the same addresses, but perhaps I assumed incorrectly. |
