(-_-) or -_-

o.O or o_O

^_^

;_;

>_<

We could always fit the extra weird ones with text between two ":"

Here's also a chart of the unicodes emotes: http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U1F600.pdf

That banner is sexy as f**k. I say leave it the way it is.

Profile page looking good! The only thing I couldn't link directly is the steam page since the url uses a automatically generate profile number instead of the username. I however linked to the search page with username as the result.

Edit: Forum banner in preview is not the final one. James and I are still debating on it.

Edit2: Random icons, made a test with vanilla ones but expect lots of custom sprites poses in final product: https://www.ff6hacking.com/random.mp4

Rofl for 1:05 Laugh

PS. i still have to understand the thing about random characters in the left column... what is it exactly?

It's just... random characters. The stream (last posts thingy equivalent) will display new replies from threads, new users or new threads (last 10 actions of these three things, it will even show 2 replies from the same thread if they are recent enough). Anyway, I just added a random icon next to the title of each entry ("new reply", "new thread" or "new user"). There's more than 100 icons total but each time the page is reloaded the code choose 10 random. It's really just cosmetic and has no real purpose other than showing sprites.

I'm assuming it would be difficult to access one of our sprite databases and choose a random sprite from there?

As of picking a random pose from a non-conventionally named random sheet in the db folder yes, but if you rip 1 or 2 pose(s) per sheet, name it sequentially (numbers) and put all the poses in the same folder, it's pretty easy to pick a random one. This is actually what was done in the preview video, except for the fact I found all the facing poses online and renamed them with a small exe (I'm not renaming 100 poses manually when 3 lines of code can do the same).

RE: Forum update and submissions - madsiur - 11-21-2015

Working on main pages. All pages linked in navigation menu on index and portal (mostly Tools, Links, Forum Team, Resources and soon Forum Rules) will have its own page with navigation menu on the left. That way, it's cleaner and nicer and the page won't be a thread started circa 2010 by someone that is most likely a total stranger to any new person in the ROM hacking scene.

Links page preview: https://www.ff6hacking.com/links.mp4

Edit: Technical Resources and utilities pages done! :D https://www.ff6hacking.com/resources.mp4 & https://www.ff6hacking.com/tools.mp4

Edit2: New and approved forum rules are completed and the page is done. There will be a few new and/or modified ones in accordance with the new features and I removed the much authoritarian tone of the person who wrote them the first time. We can't preach tolerance if we look like fascists ourselves. Preview: https://www.ff6hacking.com/rules.mp4
