AK's FF6 mini hack

this is my first time at hacking, so i thought of trying this.(name removed by djinn's request) ideas i have so far:

the original cast not being replaced:
Terra
Locke
Edgar
Sabin
Celes
& Mog

PCs that are being replaced:
Shadow will be replaced (scrapped swift because he'll look like a modded edgar sprite if i put him in)
Cyan will be replaced by Ike from FE9, FE10(mind if i use your Ike sprites djinn?)
Abilities: axes(rebalanced throw) Ike can't equip espers(i need ideas for how he can use some form of magic)
Gau will be replaced(i have no clue who to replace gau with)
Setzer will be replaced by Vyse from Skies of Arcadia(mind if i use your vyse sprites djinn?)
update:
Strago will be replaced by fft guest character Drake the summoner

Relm will be replaced by Fina from Skies of Arcadia(need sprites for her as well)

edit: i want Vyse and Fina to learn some form of magic, possibly through relics(like the magic system in Skies of Arcadia with the whole moonstone thing), i know meeple did that for Ginny and Tir in his hack.

I need other ideas for this because i'm new to this
btw my sister thinks this idea sucks and i will be laughed at

It's... not very different from my or Meeple's hack...
Also... "Crossover Fantasy VI" was a name that I was tossing around when I was talking about my hack before, so I kind of wish you'd choose a different title.

In fact, if you change the title, then I'm 100% okay with you using the Ike and Vyse sprites

i removed the title as you requested, djinn, i think i'll call it AK's FF6 hack for now, and yeah it's sort of like meeple's hack and your hack, just less replacements, i wanted it to be a small hack to get me started.

edit: i want to keep the magic system, but limit esper equipping to characters who can equip them. for example Vyse can't equip espers either.

edit2: are you going to submit Vyse's sprites or wait until you get a working beta on your hack. i can wait if you need more time, djinn.

what about the story?

r u gonna change any of it?

whats gonna be different other then some of the chars?

sorry about that poco, yes i do intend to change the story, just not the characters that aren't being replaced, their stories will be changed a little.

edit: my hack is going to have MOAR Skies of Arcadia stuff than just Vyse in it.

edit2: i will probably be adding a bonus dungeon with an uber dragon superboss(no, it's not kaiser dragon from ff6a).

edit3: real life issues is preventing me from this project for a while.

I will submit Vyse eventually, but you can just rip him from MF6 if you need it immediately.

edit: *looks at edit3* wow, that was the fastest hiatus I've ever seen.

the reason is i really need help on this and i can't do it alone.

edit: another reason is i get side tracked with playing meeple fantasy 6 or pokemon white, sorry.

i may get vyse from mf6, i saved like a zillion snapshots of vyse during my playthrough and got most of the sprites from doing this, though i don't have all his sprites(sorry for me being a Vyse fangirl).

i'll probably rip ike from mf6 as well.

Oh no, you don't want to be ripping sprites via screenshots, that's way too much work.

Just download FF3usME... you'll need it if you're going to do -any- hacking, but it'll certainly be a good first step for getting sprites.

i'll keep that in mind, djinn.

edit: thanks djinn, i can get vyse and ike from mf6.

edit2: i can't do .rar files so no bonus dungeon in this hack,
winrar screws up my files on my comp.

edit3: dang. i can't find that file for 1 of my custom monsters idea

progress has slowed due to lack of sprites and activity, i'm sorry

update: got my first custom monster sprite, i've yet to draw and import it.
