Well, when it comes to the hair, that is pretty tricky. It really depends on which palette he is going to use. Whatever palette that it is, simply keep the hair the same. Considering he wouldn't use those colors, it shouldn't be a problem.

I would make the colors you don't need something like "Bright Red" "Bright Green" "Bright Purple" "Bright Yellow", just to fill in space and make sure that anyone who downloads the sprite knows that they can change those colors to whatever they need.

Which Luke are you hoping for? Long hair or short hair? Luckily Tales of the Abyss has characters that use a good amount of colors like the final fantasy series so they will be more than possible.

I have a short-haired one already. A long-haired one would be cool to see. I'm really terrible with long-haired characters.
