New weapon ideas..

Hey, i thought this would be a cool thread we could all cram some neat ideas into.

I was messing around with the item editor, and I made the soul-saber and drainer more useful.

Now the Soul-Saber, and drainer both deal normal damage.

Drainer now randomly casts Drain.

Soul Saber now randomly casts Osmose. (renamed to "BrainSlicer")

FF3usME is badass!

Is there a way to edit the sprites of the swords?

Yeah, I don't really know the extent of it but you can use MDE to alter the sprites of the weapons.

yea I myself took brushes out because, well......brushes suck lmao

You can make weapons summon espers, like for instance, you know those fire, ice, and thunder elemental blades you get from the magitek facility? I made them summon ifrit, shiva, and ramuh, respectivly.

RadonBlade- Randomly casts "Dischord" -No Elemental dmg
BrittleClaw- Randomly casts "Shrapnel" -No Elemental dmg
LivingStaff- Randomly casts "Tentacle" -Poison Elemental

If used as an item in battle, Living staff casts "tentacle", then breaks.

IridiumBlade- Randomly casts "Meteor" -No elemental dmg

BlueNorther- Randomly casts "Absolute-Zero" -Ice Elemental
HeatWave- Randomly casts "FlareStar" -Fire Elemental
MonsoonEdge- Randomly casts "FlashRain" -Thunder Elemental

So, do you have to sacrifice an existing weapon?

Or can you just make a new one from scratch?

I'm pretty sure you gotta overwrite an existing one.

I modified the Atma Weapon. It's still got the same animations, and the same functions; only now, it randomly casts X-Zone. This weapon has been named "Vortex Render".

unfortunately some moves like Tentacle and Sharpnel are monster only skills, and the coding for that is in an unkown area compared to the rest, but Lord J did tell me he found the data and will sort it all out and give it to the FF6MDE editor guy


as 4 me I had an idea 4 a weapon that is like a blade with a chain, and it looks like when you throw a dirk @ an enemy (@ least that's the animation 4 it) but I gotta look into how to implement that animation 4 the weapon
