Ok, I am 100% new at this, the closest thing I have to experience is rpg maker 2000 - vx lol. Well I want to lean how to do a FF6 hack 
so if someone can link me to a guide I would love it. ^^

If you want extensive help, and not just the basics, go to Data Crystal for some software, they have download links for many games on a veriaty of systems. Personally, I'm a hands on kinda guy, so I learn by just looking around the hacking tool. Most of the ones that are posted there are user friendly and explain themselves. the ones that are a little more complicated usually come with explanation guides.
