This patch was made per BTB's request. It changes the necessity for the chest NPC in Ebot's Cave to eat 22 or more pieces of coral all at once.
It will not reset between feedings in other words. It will also now remove the Coral from the Rare Item inventory after you feed the chest some coral, until he's had enough and is "completely full", where then the Coral will remain as a Rare Item for the sake of prosperity posterity.

Download: https://ff6hacking.com/patches/no_coral_for_you!.zip
Headered and Unheadered patches included.

Original pic of coral being reset after bringing less than 22 pieces at once: https://imgur.com/a/m1XhfZp
Updated pic of bringing a total of 22 pieces, but not necessarily all at once: https://imgur.com/a/q2mEPeD

So just to be clear, this patch does not make it so it takes just 1 coral to pass the chest, that would be silly.
This patch only removes the resetting back to zero of the coral factor.

Included is the patch that will overwrite unused event code in the vanilla game that has to do with Gau boarding the Magitek hauling ship to Thamasa...or rather, running away from it, because he's scared of ships, in order to make room for this patch to do what it does.

The address for the event code is at:
E6CD3D - E6CD5F

Included also is a breakdown of the code change in order to do it manually if need be, for different free space area or what have you.

It was brought to my attention that this patch caused a freeze on the Albrook ship map when going to Thamasa, because of two sneaky event triggers that I did not take into account being there. The event triggers are for the unused Gau event code that I originally used for this, but the way it's coded they would never even be triggered, but are still there. So since I had used that code for this patch, it was causing the character to freeze once they step on the triggers. SO, I instead used some normally free space in a far off bank to solve this.

If anybody used this patch already for their hack or what have you, please download and use this patch here (no header) to revert all that unused code so things won't freeze: http://www.mediafire.com/file/k7zbh4bdoe...9.ips/file
it will also install the latest version of the patch.

Or, alternatively you could just remove the two event triggers dealing with that unused event, if you know what you're doing in the Level Editor. It's event trigger 3 and 4 on that map, right next to the ship. I couldn't remove or edit them to point to 'simply return' for this patch due to the fact that adding or removing event triggers is different for any hack that has added or removed any triggers (byte shift).

Anyways, the patch has been updated to use different free space. Sorry for my ignorance!
