EDIT: Now I got the attachment right.
Thanks for the report, this has been fixed, along with some other bugs. You can redownload and reapply the patch and keep playing from the save you provided.

Actually, I did have the problem too, with the latest release you provided on October 6th on SNES9x EX+ 1.5.82, and I also have an save before the Crane 2x fight.
EDIT - Found and fixed the cause, thank you for the save to help figure it out. Redownload and reapply the patch and it should be fixed.
Assuming this bug is still occurring, can you send me a current save file or save state? I'll see if I can at least confirm if its a bug with the rom, or from playing between two versions of the game.
Another update. Aside from bugfixes, this changes Strago's "Reflect???" Lore to Scourge; several people suggested it to round out Strago's Lore list with all eight elements, it fits, and few enemies used "Reflect???" in the first place, so it shouldn't have any side effects on playthroughs in progress. Scourge's effects were tweaked slightly to make it function more like Strago's Lores.
The "original" Scourge is a dummied skill, if you see any abilities that's just a string of XXXXXXXX, please let me know; that'd be an instance of the original Scourge that wasn't replaced properly. I'm pretty sure I got them all, but just in case.

I'm having an issue where the screen goes black after I visit Terra after the Esper World. It's when I get back on the Airship. The screen goes black and I just hear music.

The game freezes after Terra finishes her backstory in Zozo and the game fades to black. Here's a save state and an srm. SNES9x 1.60. Also, I found a typo.
Are you using the latest update? I fixed an identical bug.

Yeah, sorry. I didn't notice there had been another update so quickly. The issue was fixed.

The game bugged out for me right after the scene where Terra arrives at the gate in Cave to the Sealed Gate. It happens after the team tells Terra to hurry to the gate and about to fight Kefka where the game goes black for like 30 seconds than switches to a whoever is second on the team roster seen on a graphical glitched overworld map where you can control your character walking over the ocean.

I've been progressing little by little. I forgot how many things to do are on the World of Ruin.
Overall I am having a good time, although I did forget how FF6 can stall a bit as you have to train many characters both to raise Levels and learn Spells (and I'm not even teaching all Spells to every character, I never do that). This hack's modified script is probably my favourite one of the ones I tried by far. Feels very nice and in line with the game, pretty balanced I think, although of course I'm still not finished.
The difficulty in the World of Ruin is a bit of a rollecoaster, places like Phoenix Cave or Doma's Dream sequence really handed it to me until I got a bit more careful (taking Gau to Doma was a baaad idea), while others were pretty easy; but the game becomes such an open-ended affair that the experience is going to vary a lot from player to player not just depending on the party but also the order you choose to do things. With that said, some bosses I found a bit too easy, or I guess over a bit too soon compared to the challenge normal enemies in those same places were, but that could just be me.
I haven't tried my luck with the Dragons yet after my first attempt blew me in tiny, tiny pieces, which took me by surprise but I was also weirdly happy about. I wanted to ask, at which Levels it'd be good start taking them on?
So yeah, enjoying quite a bit. I'm missing the Stat Up bonuses much less than I expected, even if I liked to turn some Characters into other archtypes for fun back in the day.
One tiny glitch I saw. If you play with Mog in the first slot in Owzer's Mansion when it's dark, his palette seems weird. No other character seems to have that, so I gess it's not intentional.
Thanks for your work on this!

Thanks very much, glad you're enjoying it
Yeah, its difficult to balance the WoR because players may go anywhere when they like. I generally think of Mt. Zozo, the Cave on the Veldt, Owzer's house, and to a lesser extent Narshe, as "first half" dungeons, in the sense that if you attempt them as soon as you get the airship, you should be okay. OTOH, the Phoenix Cave, Dreamscape, Zone Eater's Belly, Ebot's Rock, the Ancient Castle, and the Fanatics Tower, I think of "second half", since most players know these dungeons are difficult, unlocked later in the WoR, and/or very long, so I balanced them assuming players have trained up a bit before attempting them.
For the Dragons, it depends on the specific one, but in your 30s should be fine. There's elemental Relics that can help with them a lot by resisting or nulling their primary element, it doesn't make them toothless but it'll take the edge off most of their AoE attacks.
As for Mog, ironically another player noticed an identical bug elsewhere, so this morning was spent fixing them all-around. In the update accompanying this reply, Mog should be fine
