Here is attached an asm (had to make it a .txt for the attachment) that should fix the issue, provided by Ryo_Hazuki over Discord.
In his words: this should allow to fix the Star colour.
To allow yellow star we should set a yellow palette on BG1 and save menu overwrite that palette slot.
With this asm we reload yellow colour when coming back to main menu.
