Not sure if anyone here cares, but an active modding community for FF12 Zodiac Age on PC ,which was recently released, has already been established.  Could certainly use the help of some talented people here that might allow it to evolve further and quicker.

There are also a few really handy cheat engine tables already.

I haven't enjoyed an FF entry since 9 and it's my first time experiencing 12... I personally found it to be among the best in the series.

I really like FFXII. It's in my top 5 FF games, probably at position 4. At least you guys already have an unpacker / repacker. You should check out Xentax Board, they have figured out a few PS2 FFXII file formats and there's a model importer / exporter / viewer I found there that support PS2 FFXII enemies, characters and NPCs models.

I like FFXII, especially this HD remake so I'll check that out!

Within the main VBF

/ps2data/image/ff12/test_battle/in/binaryfile

seems like it handles the most interesting functions, but aside from the job boards I have no way of opening the files within.

The biggest things we are currently looking for / hoping for is a mod to increase the FOV. A mod for a 4 character party (currently the game supports 4 characters in an active party and you can use the cheat table party editor to add any hero to the 4th slot, but as soon as you go into the menu the game will make you remove the 4th party member if they are not a guest character). Also if a guest character is in a reserve slot they will try to snag first open active party slot when you try to change party members.. I believe enemy, skill and item modifiers are currently being worked on to some degree.
