Save Data Size Discrepancy
05-17-2017, 05:15 PM
Hello, and nice to meet you. I've enjoyed hacks from this site before and posting here now because I figure its regulars are more likely to know than anywhere else:
I recently dumped the save data from my own original Final Fantasy III NTSC-U cartridge, using this device: http://www.cybergadget.co.jp/retrofreak/en.html
I'd like to preserve the save data for sentimentality, and to use it in a SNES emulator. However, the save data dumped as a 4 KB file, and is not recognized by any emulator I've so far found. When I let emulators generate their own new SRAM, they make an 8 KB file. How can I convert my 4 KB file, or what emulator would recognize it?
Thank you.
