Bienvenue! Oui l'assembleur c'est un peu rustique comme language! I study programming at Gérald Godin in the west Island! It's cool to see other folks from Quebec here. My favourite language is C# and I'm doing an intership in C# right now too. Java is really good too. I do less ROM hacking lastly but if you need help I'll be there to answer whatever question you got.

Your behavior is similar to a spam bot...hmmm...I'm watching you...

Welcome!/Bienvenido!

While the main language of the hacking forums is english, Poco Loco and I both speak Spanish. So we can either help you out or direct you to someone who can help on what you want to do. Hit me with a PM and I'll get back to you.

We also have people whom speak french and japanese, if you speak any of those.

The point is, don't let language be a barrier for your hacking needs =P.

FYI, new users must havee their posts approved by us before being released to the general public.

Hi. We study the same subject. What are your preferred programming languages? I've never heard of "preudo-programming" but I know "pseudo-code" which is basically writing simplified code on a piece of paper. We did about 3 hours of that total at my school. It's helpful when you begin but become obsolete as soon as you know a bit how to write code.

I'm starting my 3rd year and so far we got over Java, C# and C++. Once you are able to code in one language, the other languages are a lot easier to learn especially with the amount of online help available.

Erm... I am probably a few weeks to old to post my intro here, but I just noticed it so I'm going for it anyways lol. Uh my name is Rodney, but you can call me whatever you want... Most of my friends either call me Shaggy, becuase they say I look like him at times, or they call me weird... I think the second one is meant as an insult, but I don't care :). I just recently graduated high school so I'm kind of young compared to the magority of people on here, but I'm really eager to learn, and already have some experience in a few of the things as it is. I have made a few rather simple Pokemon hacks (just becuase they are the easiest games to hack), but I wanted to move onto something I liked more, and would challenge me more sooooooooooooo... Here I am lol. I have a habit of writing long paragraphs for something that doesn't need a long explanation, this is its own example lol. Uhhh... I'm not real good at introducing myself so if there is anything you want to know it'd be easier if you just asked me lol.

Welcome! It's a good thing you don't care because weird people stand out of the crowd. "Normal" people are dull and redundant for the most, but hey, everyone has a different definition of normality, depending what you have lived, how you were educated and how open you are.

If you were relatively comfortable in hacking pokemon, you should learn fast, FFIIIus is also a very well documented game and many tools exist to help you. Hard working is the key though.

I'm Murex, and I've been hacking for about two weeks now and I allready have one hell of a game so far. I managed to change all the spells, stats, equipment, monsters, and sprites to my liking, I just have to test more to get those pesky details smoothed out (like those danm color pallates for example).

I'm great with the basicis of hacking FF6, and I'm really good with photoshop. Managed to find a way to convert 256 colors to 16 with relative ease, but some of the problems I have won't go away until I'm down to the final testing phase, considering they will require me to learn more stuff.

I'm addicted to Hacking FF6 for sure.

Yea I am noticing for the most part that FFVI is easy enough, and it is pretty well documented :). It is proving to be a problem at times tho cuz, I am not very talented in scripting for events and it seems to be a little bit different with FFVI than Pokemon Crystal, and Ruby so it's a little harder for me :(. But I am continuasly trying to learn, when I have the time, so I'm sure if I keep at it I will learn how to do most of it lol :).

And hey Murex n good luck with you'r hack. lol :)
