Sometime i'll post some feature added to the hack...
I just finished to customize all esper lv up bonus, now there will be as bonus/malus:

1) HP - 25%
2) HP - 50%
3) HP - 100%
4) HP - 200%
5) MP - 25%
6) MP - 50%
7) MP - 100%
8) Vigor + 1 & HP - 50%
9) Magic + 1 & HP - 50%
10) Speed + 1 & HP - 50%
11) Stamina + 1 & HP - 50%
12) Vigor + 2 & HP - 100%
13) Magic + 2 & HP - 100%
14) Speed + 2 & HP - 100%
15) Stamina + 2 & HP - 100%
16) Next lv EXP required - 50%
17) HP - 300% & Magic + 2 & bonus 16)

I totally changed the original settings of elements in the game:

Fire -> Fire;
Ice -> Melee;
Lightn. -> Ranged
Poison -> Earth (now the damage of poison status is earth)
Wind -> Wind
Pearl -> Curse (any source that involves the curse)
Earth -> Magic (non-elemental spells, like Flare will have a neutral element)
Water -> Water

And the other elements? They will be a combination of the 4 elements left unchanged... the logic is the same used in Grandia.
In the case you don't know Grandia, here's the scheme:

Fire + Wind -> Lightning (storms aren't counted as lightning)
Fire + Earth -> Explosion (lava, bursts, meteors)
Wind + Water -> Blizzard (ice, storms)
Earth + Water -> Forest (actual poison spells nature, only the status is linked to earth, or it would become annoying to handle...)

That's why i need to change the priority of elemental damage modifiers, besides Holy damage will be forced to have a weird type or being no elemental, unless i manage to assign a greater priority to "no change" for elemental damage...
If that will happen, then Holy will have all the 4 primary elements: it will double its damage quite easily, and it will be very hard to block.
Why all four elements?
Because this guy combines them to create the holy sword Kita Kita!

Changes for status imp:

Kappa -> Curse(one of the many shapes)
Imp -> Hex(spell's name)

For allies:

Yup, the size will be 4 times bigger than that ugly kappa monster model... and not only that: will still be a bad status for the enemy?

like ur face, may i suggest adding a touch of grey in there to to give it some depth? looks cool tho like a silent hill version of a heartless lol


The only limit is imagination. And 16 colors.. I guess

Hey, James, (or anyone else)
do you know if there's an easy way to modify Imp's status icon, the one displayed in the main screen of inventory, next to the portrait?
If not i guess i'll be forced to track it down using YY-chr and scrolling the rom, which is annoying as hell ;[
In the second case... do you know its approximate position in the rom?

look for a thread i made awhile ago in dead and locked, you see i made a mini status and i belive some1 gave me the address your looking for there

and unfortunately yychr is ur only option take care tho yychr can bugger stuff sometimes

not sure been awhile

Done. the source was Madsiur and the actual address was something like 2D****
The icon now is something similar to dead char sprite of some previous post, still he won't let me use the red(most of the times it will be replaced with blue) sounds like palette 0 is active even here...
Too bad, instead of red i used green for curse status icon.

This is correct info, I'm not sure if you meant it is correct or incorrect but regardless, most of the docs I gave you are not made by me, I just collected them unless otherwise specified.

Btw... i did a not much accurate modify to Cursed guy portrait: guided from istinct i just covered here and there with dark grey lines and at the end it came out this:

i definatley think it looks alot better man,how many more colors u got left on ur pallet? as a general rule of thumb i try to use up every color slot it will allow you to give real depth to your portrait, like even if your only going 2 2 2, 3 3 3, 4 4 4, 5 5 5,6 6 6 etc and obviously your red, maybe another red tone. up to you tho it definatley looks better.Im glad you found it in yychr man should look pretty boss with a status icon 2, btw i think you can change that green with snes pallet editor however this may effect other status icons
