Official FF6: Beyond Chaos thread (randomizer)

Apparently, it is possible for fixed dice to lose their special effect, at a 2% rate. Forgot I did that. I implemented a lot of randomizations early on that might not have been good ideas, heh...

If it's just 2% it should be fine, it's funny to deal with those bad jokes once in a while...

And yeah, sorry for being upset over the throwing.
But it's really annoying to enter a fight and instantly lose 2 party members to an attack that does 5000 damage.

Meteor at least can be blocked by mblock.
At least I have Phantom esper, so I guess I can just cast that in a fight that doesn't have those ninja guys that look like the wrench throwing guys in Zozo in the base game.
They got an upgrade!

Meteor is actually really difficult to deal with, as it is non-elemental, defense ignoring, unblockable, and unrunicable. Meteo is the blockable spell/ability.

Yeah, that 'r' makes a huge difference, you forgot to mention hits both sides in a pincer attack to(obviously i was talking about the one with the r)

PS. DavidB1111 summons Ex-Death to Abyss -> Ex-death gets randomized from BC and becomes a pink knight kid which casts at first turn Spiraler -> Abyss wins

So this current save is 1434674319 with all flags enabled except random blitz input combinations, as well as no special flags set.

This particular seed has an unbreakable Light Robe that casts Cure 3, which is a lifesaver without any other real healing. Unfortunately, while fighting KatanaSoul, we used it a bunch of times and it got replaced with 256 SORD.....s? For some reason? This wasn't the only strange effect, as the Thunder Shield it dropped didn't show up in our inventory at all. Finally, in the battle in which we lost the Light Robe and had it replaced by the SORD.....s, the swords could be used to cast Palidor, but it could only target the user, and could only be single target(similar to Quick). However, upon beating the battle, the SORD.....s could not be used as an item at all.

I have absolutely no idea what to make of this, but perhaps someone has some insight into this matter...

It looks terribly similar to the bug my bro triggered while fighting Zeromus in ROTDS: instead of receiving Zeromus Shard he received Gamma Blade x 0 or 55, according on if you equip/unequip a certain number, which was triggered probably due to the unused special animation...
Did he use his Special? which animation it was? if it was beyond #40 then it would be exactly the same matter!

Too bad you didn't recorded it, even my bro could only offer some screenshot... now, if Abyss find the answer, then we might solve the problem for both the cases.

Wow that does look like the same issue indeed, weird random item with even weirder properties and quantity values...

Seriously though, that is one heck of a weird bug.
At least you didn't get KatanaSoul in the Phantom Train.
Because that makes sense....

@Tenka, whose special do you refer to? Katana Souls's special? If so, he did not use the Slayer Edge replacement a single time. All he used was basically everything else in his command list that he normally can.
