Just to ask(for future tasks), when you say that's possible to load saves while recording, you mean only saves in the 3 slots, or also savestates?

Somebody else was having trouble with 2Shared as well. I'll use MediaFire from now on. Glad to hear you'll be participating.

And no, you cannot use any emulator functions (cheat codes, save states, slowdown, etc.) except for fast-forward. This isn't a TASing community, so I don't think it makes sense to allow any of it. If you want to make a TAS for kicks and giggles after the contest is over though, by all means.

Btw, doesn't screw up the actual time of the run, using fast forward?
Or maybe the video will record at normal velocity even when you speed up the time?

Well, you asked about the save states. >.> If you can use emulator functions, then it would be a TAS to some degree (even if it's not optimized).

I usually record using ZSNES's input using the movie option on it, then play it back (which will always be at normal speed) to record. You can't fast-forward to mess with your time though.

If you just make a single attempt without spending any time thinking or optimizing, it will probably take less than half an hour total for everything involved. Even if you don't have time, thanks for trying to find some anyways.

Alright, while today is technically the day for submission, I won't have enough time to make the results video until the weekend. I don't know how to edit it properly yet, so I will still need to learn that. I see no reason not to accept submissions until then.

EDIT: Also, try not to go anywhere near Cecil188's submission on YouTube. I'm doing my best to contact him about it. He must not have been following this thread as closely as I thought he was. I'll have to trust you guys to avoid looking at it even though he posted it for some reason.

Don't worry, you get the benefit of me being the guinea pig on that one. He won't do it again (and I'm not sure, but I believe his video had no views besides himself and me).
