I'm pretty sure that part of sneeze's graphic is blowing the enemy away =p roughly 98% of all the spells graphics are just that, spell graphics. But a very select few actually do something more to the battle itself. Zinger's animation, I think, is another one like sneeze, and of coarse engulf.

some of those are stored within the monster animations (since I am testing them out) I know 4 a fact that the engulf feature is in 1 of them (the part where they get sucked in, not the purple animation that appears)

Imp's animation actually changes the monster/PC's graphic to an imp, regardless of whether the status lands or not if you use it with a spell that doesn't inflict the imp status.
