Hi, I'm new to the ROM editing scene, but I already know a few things. My question is: How do I find this value C2/5453 in the HEX editor? I know it's a silly question for those of you who already know, but for me, who's just starting out, it seems difficult. I've tried searching, but I can't find it. I use WINDEX AND HxD

Hello and welcome!
So that address would be just offset 25453. You can see the offset at the bottom of the editor with WindHex. If you wanted the 'C' to also show up, you could go to Option at the top, then select 'Display Offset as' and select Ex-HiROM, and you'll see the addresses on the left side now have the C (or D or E etc.) It just shows the main bank you are in basically, I'm sure there is a more technical reason and explanation for what exactly it is, but I can't remember what.

Without doing that, you could just do Search at the top, then 'Goto to Offset' and type in 25453 and it will bring you to it. Just make sure the ROM is unheadered, or else you will have to factor in +200 to that offset. So if it was headered, you would search instead for 25653. But it's best to do hex work without the header to avoid this.

We are born, live, die and then do the same thing over again.
