Actually, the Sketch bug is not patched, but sometimes you don't even have a Sketch command so R-Chaos would be the only way to cast Engulf.

As for using Engulf in the cave modes... I didn't think about that. Right now I think it would put you in a random map in the cave, at weird coordinates. You probably wouldn't be able to continue.

I've done the Engulf sequence break a lot. If you warp out, you go back to where you were in WoB. If you leave Gogo's cave normally, you end up on the triangle island in WoR. The speedrun route doesn't use Engulf at all, but it sets the "engulf status" using the sketch glitch so that you can land your airship on triangle island and pick it up in WoR.
