Ryu3 Dragon help - DjinnAndTonic - 10-05-2010
I thought you guys might have some ideas about how to go about drawing a Ryu3 Dragon Whelp sprite.
In case you don't know what I'm talking about - Breath of Fire 3 Ryu turns into a baby dragon for an awful long portion of his game. I would really like to make a full battle sprite of this Dragon Whelp. But I'm a little stuck on how exactly to make a convincing dragon under these size restraints. Additionally, I don't want it to look like the NPC dragon sprite.
Do you have any suggestions?

I just pulled that second link from this Let's Play on Something Awful anyway. It's the first thing that happens in the game. The adorable little green dragon pup is Ryu's Whelp form.

You could use those FF6 dragons that run arround in the Esper world.

I don't think he wants his whelp to look like the dragons around the esper world >_< ...
By the way, is the BOF3 Ryu sprite complete? It looks amazing.

BoF3 Ryu sprite is still waiting for his Riding/Dead sprites. I'm lazy with those. I'll post it eventually.

well its not impossible
but a suggestion is editing the NPC dragon and changing it around a bit, thats just a suggestion of course
