FF6 Meme Contest Results! - B-Run - 04-28-2017 Ok guys, we had some fantastic submissions for the Meme contest... it was really hard to narrow it down to just a handful. The creativity of this community is simply stellar... So without further adieu... MEMES! Honorable Mentions [spoiler] While pretty specific to Filly Fantasy, I think this probably has the most potential to be a recurring FF6 Meme... In fact, I've already got one in mind. Essentially, using Sabin's suplexing a train as a meme for when you pull off something really f-ing awesome during what would otherwise be a really tough situation. This use of one of FF6's most fan-hyped moments is a Crowning Moment of Awesome for DrakeyC. This is a great use of an older, existing meme. FF6 builds its setting (and specifically Kefka) to appear so powerful and unstoppable; yet, as we all know, there really is nothing to actually worry about. Because Vanish+Doom. See ya "God of Magic". Thank you Cecil! [/spoiler] Runner Ups [spoiler] I could have SWORN i saw this somewhere before. But, admittedly, I might have just seen the meme it's based on an thought to myself it would be perfect for Cyan... There really isn't any more one-to-one FF6 to current Meme perfect line up than this. Thank you Seibaby for knowing exactly what to meme. I had a tough time picking between Tenka's submissions. I ended up very partial to this submission because its just a little bit more "inside joke" than a lot of other ones. Only people who are actually involved with FF6 know off-hand what the "CES Challenge" is. It's hard to draw the line sometimes on how "inside joke" a meme should be, but this just caught, and kept my attention. Great job! [/spoiler] WINNER! [spoiler] This submission was just a bit more of everything. Its got knowledge specific to FF6, but not too deep. Uses a screenshot setup making it primarily an FF6 meme, but also perfectly slides in one of the most well-known memes, making it instantly relate-able. Congratulations Madsiur on your winning Meme! [/spoiler] There were many, many more submissions I wanted to include here, I just simply couldn't justify doing that. You all did an outstanding job and deserve credit for that. I'm going to open a permanent FF6 Meme's thread where you all can re-post your previous submissions, or post new ones as often as you like. There's no reason to end a good thing.
