Specifically, the version of C. V. Reynolds Bug fix patch that's hosted on this site (without the script changes)? I feel dumb. The compatibility list is super handy. I have a couple questions: First, the following statements are a little confusing. Can someone explain this? "-Multiple options used (Though there shouldn't be any difference in results, it's your choice which one to use. These are merely suggestions): Jump Megafix A, Simple Throw Down (Part of) the Gauntlet, Equipment based Miscolored command names." Second, how badly does the multi-steal fix mess things up? Can text be corrected by hex-editing either the patch before it's applied or the rom afterward. Finally, I'm not opposed to re-implementing most of these text and script changes myself in exchange for greater compatibility. Though I'll be honest re-timing the Opera sync seems daunting. Please forgive my ignorance but do you have a version of your patch that just implements that and your basic ff3usme script? RE: Final Fantasy VI SNES - Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition 1.93 - Rodimus Primal - 03-19-2017 The compatibility list was made by Chronosplit on RHDN. He did so because people would want to add other fixes to Woolsey Uncensored and some aren't compatible. Personally I wish that he wrote it a little clearer, but I'm glad its still helpful. The reason my "with Bugfixes" has the ones it does was to fix actual issues in game and restore a number of things. However, the whole project was also done to give the feeling of a fixed original with modern names. I feel that fixing EVERY single bug takes away from that original feeling. That's why I never added exploit removals like Vanish/Doom but I did add the Evade bug fix. The script, in FF3USME can me exported to a file and be reimported. However, there are things that won't be in the CV Reynolds patch, like Class Names, extended Dance and Spell names, and the B Button Dash. Also the monster sprites were uncensored as well. Personally I think that anything you'd want to add on top of Woolsey Uncensored can be done as long as it's compatible, which is why the list was made. RE: Final Fantasy VI SNES - Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition 1.95 - Givenchy - 04-14-2017 Look's pretty cool RE: Final Fantasy VI SNES - Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition 1.95 - Rodimus Primal - 04-15-2017 I had to update to version 1.95a. I don't know what caused it but a line in the intro got garbled so that has been fixed. EDIT- It is now version 1.96. I think now I've ironed out the last of the overflow script errors. RE: Final Fantasy VI SNES - Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition 1.96 - Rodimus Primal - 02-07-2018 I know I am basically bumping this thread, however, I am preparing, and for the most part have 2.0 ready to release. I'm currently play testing it and I've also given a copy to the folks making the MSU-1 patch to ensure compatibility. For those wondering why yet, another update, it started when it was brought to my attention that the Opera scene, which TWUE has the option of original SNES or updated GBA/Mobile/PC version, was still using the original lyrics for some parts and needed to be corrected. This led to me diving head first to truly make an update worth the time waiting for. After correcting the Updated Opera, I went through the script again to iron out a few issues that needed to be corrected. I fixed a lot of monster names but then I decided it was in this project's best interest to look over ALL of the various bugfixes that have been released over the years and decide whether or not they should be added into the Bugfix versions of the patch. There are a total of 26 additional bugs now fixed in the Bugfix version. The Add-Ons version of the patch already had the wonderful Blitz Screen (which displays the name of the Blitz in the Menu) and the Rewards Display (which tells you what you win in the Colosseum before placing your bet) but will now also include Y Equip Relics (which allows you to switch between equiping weapons and armor with the Relics by pressing Y) and the Mini Maps Upgrade. I'll let you all know once it's been released. Also I want to thank each and every one of you for the kind support and feedback. Madsiur, assassin, Leet Sketcher, Chronosplit, and everyone else, THANK YOU! RE: Final Fantasy VI SNES - Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition 1.96 - Timbo - 02-07-2018 Are the bugfixes still incompatible with the music player? I need to send him an updated version of the music player for the new release which I'll do this week. Madsiur was kind enough to make a version of the Music Player that is compatible with Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition. It comes with the package. RE: Final Fantasy VI SNES - Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition 1.96 - madsiur - 02-14-2018 On a side note you could easily go beyond 26 bugfixes in the bugfix patch but a safer decision might be to keep the most significant bufixes. Also, it's really cool you included the mini-map upgrade as an add-on. Thanks! Also, it's really cool you included the mini-map upgrade as an add-on. Thanks! Thanks. I really like the Mini-Maps expansion since playing through the game again. I could have gone crazy with all of the bugfixes, but the ones I chose I think are perfect as it stands. I was really worried about compatibility (many do not work well together) and I didn't want to plug up known game exploits since many use them to their advantage (Vanish Doom, Psycho Cyan, saving in multi party dungeons, etc). |
