I forgot to mention -- actually you will be using both swords simultaneously (dual-wield).

Glad you find it interesting. Balancing out the upgrades is a lot of fun in itself, too.

Ah, okay. So the swords will be at a more or less identical level to each other during the entire game then?
Seems like it would be hard to balance the upgrades without having the game completed to balance again. Somehow I have a feeling that you'll have to rebalance them several times, especially since this is somewhat new territory.

He could always stagger how many battles need to be completed for each upgrade, so 5 upgrades each would come out to 10 upgrades spread out over time.
