fun fact with AP - Tenkarider - 02-16-2016

While my bro was playing BC speedcave, we realized that there's a bug when the formation AP x learn speed of spell results in a value greater than 256: overflow, so atma which gives 100 x 3xspeed = 300 - 256 = 44 actual AP.

On a second thought it was kinda predictable this outcome, that's also why in vanilla they never assign more than 10 AP and the highest multiplier is 20, 200 as max value will never overflow.

Said that, aside BC i'm pretty sure that both in BNW and ROTDS there might be a situation or two in which the overflow can happen, just in the case you might want to tweak AP rewards.

There is no situation where that happens in BNW, especially since we moved away from spell learning rates Tongue

Yeah, I noticed this while watching someone else play. I decided it wasn't necessary to fix because mainly fast learning spells were affected. Plus you can just set the AP to 255 if you really want to learn all the spells, because no matter what the learn rate, it always comes out to more than 100 AP.

@BTB: oh, right... the last time i saw BNW it was 1.4.2 version.

@abyssonym: actually i'm more worried about my hack since i already set 255% as value to reach in order of learning a spell(because of reason)
and probably since i was planning to set 50x multipliers for very weak spells...  Finger
